Theater and film actor, director, screenwriter, teacher. In 1960-1961 he studied at the Dnepropetrovsk Welding College named after Yevgeny Paton. In 1965 he graduated from the Rostov School of Arts (course Mikhail Bushnov). He studied at the studio school at the Moscow Art Theater, but a month later he left there. In 1967, Hamlet played in the "Experimental Theater" Aksenova-Ardi. Critics cautiously reacted to the interpretation of the role, but noted the undoubted talent and intelligence performance. In 1969 he graduated from the B.V. Shchukin, course Boris Zahava. In 1969-1971 - actor of the Vakhtangov Theater, Moscow Art Theater, Bronnaya Theater. In 1984 he graduated from the Higher Courses of Scriptwriters and Directors (Sergei Solovyov’s workshop). In 1989, he taught directing at the B.V. Theater School. Shchukin. In 1995, led the scenario workshop at VKSR.
