Bimbolaat Vataev

Born on March 15, 1939 in the village of New Batako SOASSR (now RNO-Alania). A graduate of the famous course of the Schukinsky Theater School under the direction of Yuri Lyubimov, from whose graduates the main core of the Taganka Theater was formed. In the diploma performance of the play by B. Brecht, Bibo Vataev played the main role of the pilot Suna. Since 1959 - actor of the North Ossetian Music and Drama Theater, played in the Taganka Drama and Comedy Theater (1964-1965), in 1969-1975 - actor to "Tajikfilm", director of television films, in 1994-1998 - Minister of Culture of North Ossetia. In the cinema, he created more than 50 images. Heroic-epic actor. For his role in the art trilogy "The Tale of Rustam" he was awarded the prize for the best male role at the Panama Film Festival. He died in Vladikavkaz on May 9, 2000 and was buried in the Walk of Fame.
