Nikolai Penkov

Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1969). People's Artist of the RSFSR (03/17/1988). He graduated from the Mining College in Lipetsk, worked for two years in Magnitogorsk, served in the army in the Far East. He graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School (1963, the course of VK Monyukov). In 1963–2009, he was an actor at the Arts Theater (after the troupe’s division in 1987, at the Gorky Moscow Art Theater under the direction of Tatyana Doronina). Released a book of memories "It was time" (2008). He died on the morning of December 21, 2009 in Moscow. He was buried on December 23 at Troyekurovsky cemetery (station number 6).
