Galina Makarova

Belarusian Soviet actress. People's Artist of the Byelorussian SSR (1967). People's Artist of the USSR (1980). Galina Klimentevna Makarova (her real name is Agafya, Agata) did not know the real date of her birth herself. Her father was repressed, and the family destroyed all documents. In the new passport, the year of birth was incorrectly indicated to her, and later she calculated that she was born in 1916. On October 23, 2009, a postage stamp dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of Galina Klimentevna Makarova was put into circulation.
