Vladimir Shainsky

Composer. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (03/23/1978). People's Artist of the RSFSR (05/16/1986). Since 1936, he studied violin at the ten-year music school at the Kiev Conservatory, but the outbreak of war interrupted his studies, and in 1941 the family was evacuated to Tashkent. He continued his musical education at the Tashkent Conservatory, where he studied until 1943, when he was called to the Red Army. He served in the communications regiment in Central Asia, where he began to write music. Until 2000, he lived and worked in Moscow, since 2000 he lived in Israel, in 2004 he moved to the United States, where he received a residence permit. He lived in two countries, in Russia and the United States. He was buried on January 22, 2018 at the Troekurovsky cemetery in Moscow.
