In 1987 he graduated from the acting department of GITIS (workshop of Lyudmila Kasatkina). He began to act in films from the late 80s. Initially, these were small roles. Vivid actor comedy plan, he proved himself in the early 90s. In 1991, Gabrielyan starred in an eccentric comedy "The game of millions", playing the vet Maksimkina, opposing two bands of gangsters.
