Under pressure from her family, she enrolls in a “respectable” university and marries a man she doesn’t love. Step by step, she betrays herself and her dream, losing the one and only love of her life. A chance encounter with an aging operetta actress and singer, Oksana Tymofiivna, changes the way Milochka sees herself.
