Story
Harvey Shine arrives in London for his daughter’s wedding carrying the strain of a career that has begun to slip away. A struggling jingle writer, he misses his flight back to New York and, as a result, loses his job. Alone in the airport, Harvey retreats to the bar, where an unexpected conversation introduces him to Kate, a British government employee caught in a weary routine of office work, family calls and disappointing blind dates.
Harvey and Kate have little in common on the surface, yet their meeting opens a rare space for honesty. Both are accustomed to moving through life on the margins of other people’s expectations, and both carry a quiet sense of loneliness. As they spend more time together, a delicate romantic connection begins to grow. Their story unfolds through small gestures, hesitant conversations and the possibility that a difficult day can lead somewhere neither of them expected.
