TV series The Luminaries (2020)

New Zealand, 1860s, the height of the gold rush. One of the prospectors, newcomer Walter Moody, finds himself drawn into a chain of mysterious events related to the death of a lone gold miner, in whose hut a treasure was discovered. Meanwhile, the British Anna Wetherell, who came in search of a new life, falls in love with a certain Emery Staines, and the lovers, overcome by passion, begin to think: is it we who create fate or fate who creates us?
