Oksana Akinshina was born on April 19, 1987 in Leningrad into a family of simple parents. My father was an auto mechanic, and my mother was an accountant. Oksana also has a younger sister whose name is unknown. From early childhood, the girl had witnessed numerous quarrels between her parents and was practically left to herself, which no doubt could not but affect her character from the very best side. She treated her mother more reverently, although she perceived her more as a friend. Having received enormous freedom in childhood, she often neglected social norms trying to express herself and show herself different from everyone else. The actress also had problems with alcohol. She was treated for a long time, resorting to different ways to get rid of addiction. "At first it was unbearable. The psychologist helped, then there was a pill, then I expanded. Already at thirteen, Oksana got a job in a model agency. It was through him that she got to the casting for Sergei Bodrov Jr., who once picked up the actors for the film “Sisters”. Oksana went there without much enthusiasm, everywhere expressing her dissatisfaction, as it was “obligatory” from the director of the model agency. But the bold and unbridled temper of the girl pleased the young director and Oksana was approved for the role of the eldest of the sisters.
