This Day In History is a documentary series that looks back at historic events that took place on this day. We explore many different events that have had a lasting impact on society, whether in sport, politics, entertainment, art or science. The programme gives viewers the opportunity to improve their vocabulary and understanding of the English language, whilst learning about significant disasters, unconventional holidays and noteworthy birthdays. Each episode is split into three parts, each featuring a short story about the event, letting viewers learn new English words and about fascinating pieces of history.
