Viki Pepperdin

Vicky Pepperdine is an English actress and writer and was born in 1961 in England. She was nominated for two BAFTA TV Awards for co-recording by BBC Getting On sitcom (2009-12) and was nominated for a British Comedy Award for her portrayal of Dr Pippa Moore. Born in London, Pepperdine co-authored the award-winning BBC Four sitcom Getting On with Jo Brand and Joanna Scanlan. In conjunction with Brand and Scanlan, she has been nominated for two BAFTA TV Awards for Best Work and has received two British Guild Writers Awards, a Royal Television Award and a British Comedy Award. For radio, she and Melanie Hudson formed the comedy duo Hudson and Pepperdine; the couple wrote the script and starred in BBC Radio 4's The Hudson and Pepperdine Show. Pepperdine's parents worked at the NHS in south-west London (partly inspiring Getting On). After studying art history at the University of East Anglia, as well as working in "Aid for the Elderly" and publishing, she turned to East School 15 in Debden at the age of 27 because her heroine, Alison Stedman, was there. She played a role in Doc Martin's first series (2004). Pepperdine has also had recurring roles in Julia Davis' Sky Atlantic series, BBC Three Series, BBC sitcom, Four Women, the BBC comedy drama Grace, and has appeared in more than 50 TV shows shows, including episodes of "Roar," "Still Open All Hours," "New Tricks," "Twenty-Twelve," "Lusic," "Julia Davis's Dark Comedy," Night Night, "Jack Dee's Ballooning," Steve Coogan, I am Alan Partridge, Morning Morning and Saxondale, and Miranda Miranda and Miranda. Pepperdine plays the housekeeper of Harry Hill, Mrs. Flitternoop, in "The Adventures of Professor Branestam" on the BBC. She was also a regular character midwife Anna Nikolaevna in both episodes of Young Doctor's Note for Sky Television, along with John Hamm, Daniel Radcliffe and Rosie Cavalier.
