1950 year. The Second World War ended long ago. On the territory of Western Ukraine, in the Carpathians, the bloodless, disarmed fighters of the Ukrainian Post-Stalin Army (OUN-UPA) are still fighting the Stalinist regime. More recently, an army forced to fight simultaneously with the Nazis and Soviet troops. The UPA is headed by commander Roman Shukhevych. The fight is doomed - the fighters go underground. What should Shukhevych give up in order to share the dramatic partisan fate of 200 thousand UPA soldiers? From the comfort of emigrant life? Or from the bliss of being with your beloved woman?
