The life of Liza Kalinina seemed even and straight, like a road across the dusty steppe, as grey as such road is: an orphanage, a college, an early marriage, a drinking husband. However, things change on the day when Lisa receives a letter from her mother from which she learns that she is the daughter of a wealthy businessman, Viktor Lozovsky. Viktor and his wife, Margarita, accept Lisa and her daughter to their family and surround them by care and warm-heartedness. However, their happy family life does not last long: the house of Lozovsky is robbed and the owners are killed, while Liza herself becomes the prime suspect in the crime...
