Armenian soviet cameraman and director. Honored Artist of the Armenian SSR (1977). People's Artist of the Armenian SSR (1987). He graduated from the Faculty of Cameraman VGIK (1965, workshop of Alexander Simonov). In 1955-1963 - assistant cameraman, assistant operator, since 1963 - cameraman operator "Armenfilm". Associate Professor of the Yerevan Pedagogical Institute named after Abovyan. Since 1987 - Chairman of the Union of Cinematographers of Armenia.
