Yuri Medvedev

In 1942, Yuri graduated from the Moscow City Theater School and became an actor in the front-line theater of the WTO. After the war, the actor, at the invitation of A. M. Lobanov, joined the troupe of the Moscow Theater named after M. N. Ermolova. Since 1986, Yuri Medvedev played on the stage of the Maly Theater of the USSR. In the cinema, Yuri Medvedev made his debut in 1954, playing the role of Fyodor Erokhin in the film "Test of Allegiance." The most famous Yuri Medvedev received as a performer of comedy roles in the movie. Yuriy Nikolayevich was a master of the satirical episode, he had a bright comedic talent. Among the most notable works are Gruzdev in the Yaropolk Lapshin television film “Sullen River”, Sheshkovsky in the film “Good Bad Man” by Joseph Heifitz. He voiced Soviet cartoons, was filmed on television. An interesting fact: Yuri Medvedev was one of nine actors who appeared in both film versions of the novel “12 Chairs” (in Leonid Gaidai and Mark Zakharov). In addition to him, Savely Kramarov, Georgy Vitsin, Anatoly Kalabulin, Pavel Vinnik, Eduard Bredun, Grigory Spiegel, Anatoly Obukhov and Vyacheslav Voynarovsky starred in both films. He died in Gomel, where he was on the set, on the operating table - the heart refused, July 19, 1991. He was buried in Moscow at the Troyekurovsky cemetery (2 school).
