James Norton is a British actor. He was born on July 18, 1985 in London. His parents, Hugh Biddulf Norton and Lavinia Jane Norton (Norman), were teachers. He studied theology at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge University (since 2004). After receiving a grant from the college, he taught in North India. In Cambridge, he was a member of the Marlowe Theater Club, where he played many roles, including in Shakespeare's plays.
