Director, screenwriter. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (10/12/1978). People's Artist of the RSFSR (07.29.1983). He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of the Ural University (1955, Sverdlovsk) and the directing department of VGIK (1961, workshop of the documentary film I. Kopalin).
