Movie Forbidden Fruits (2026)
Story
After the mall closes, Apple, an employee of Free Eden, retreats to the storeās basement to lead a secretive witchy femme cult. Her fellow fruits, Cherry and Fig, take part in a sisterhood built around shared rituals and carefully performed solidarity. Their private world is challenged when Pumpkin, the storeās new hire, refuses to accept the groupās polished image at face value.
As tensions rise, the women are forced to face their own poisons or succumb to a bloody fate. What begins as an after-hours gathering inside a familiar retail space becomes a dark test of the groupās bond, mixing occult imagery, workplace dynamics, and dark comedy in Forbidden Fruits.
Overview
Forbidden Fruits combines horror and comedy in a story set within the unlikely surroundings of a mall store. The ordinary routines of retail provide a backdrop for secret ceremonies and the threat of a bloody fate. The contrast gives the film its offbeat atmosphere, with playful names and heightened situations sitting alongside genuine menace.
At the center of the story is a group whose language of sisterhood may conceal as much as it reveals. Apple, Cherry, Fig, and Pumpkin share one closed environment, and the arrival of a newcomer who questions the groupās performative unity drives the conflict. The central question is how long a carefully staged community can hold together once its members must confront their own poisons.
Produced in Canada and the United States, the film should appeal to viewers who enjoy genre stories with an unusual setting, ensemble tension, and a macabre sense of humor.
Cast and Characters
The ensemble features Lili Reinhart, Alexandra Shipp, Victoria Pedretti, Lola Tung, and Siddharth Sharma. The principal characters are Apple, Cherry, Fig, and Pumpkin, whose relationships shape the filmās occult conflict.
The story sets several roles against each other in one confined world: the cultās secret leader, her fellow members, and a new employee who challenges the groupās carefully maintained identity. Within this shared setting, ordinary workplace interactions carry the weight of a much darker ritual.
