The Forbidden Kingdom (2008) is a kung fu wuxia film directed by Rob Minkoff and starring Jackie Chan and Jet Li. Teenager Jason, who lives in South Boston, is crazy about kung fu. One day he makes an amazing discovery: in one of Chinatown shops he finds the legendary staff which belongs to the great warrior Monkey King. The magic staff sends Jason on an adventure to ancient China, where he joins an army of highly skilled warriors gathered to free their imprisoned king.
