Story
Seven disillusioned outsiders find themselves caught in a deadly trap with no easy way out. Their only chance of survival lies in undertaking a dangerous mission together, even though trust is in short supply and each of them carries a troubled history. As the group moves deeper into the threat surrounding them, the mission forces its members to confront the darkest corners of their pasts. Their individual burdens shape every decision, while the pressure of the operation tests whether this uneasy group can function as a unit.
Thunderbolts* follows a team built from damaged, reluctant figures whose personal conflicts are inseparable from the danger they face. The story keeps the focus on survival, accountability, and the difficult process of working alongside people who have little reason to rely on one another.
Overview
Directed by Jake Schreier, Thunderbolts* combines action, science fiction, and adventure in a high-stakes story about reluctant allies. Set against the backdrop of a perilous mission, the film explores what happens when people with complicated pasts are placed under extraordinary pressure. Its central tension comes from the clash between the demands of the task and the unresolved histories each member brings into the group.
The American production is shaped by an ensemble dynamic, with danger emerging from both the external trap and the friction within the team. The premise allows the film to move between intense mission-driven suspense and character-focused conflict, keeping the group’s uncertain alliance at the heart of the experience.
