Story
A carefully assembled crew of criminals takes Abigail, a teenage ballet dancer, from her home and demands a $50 million ransom. Their target carries a dangerous connection to the underworld: she is the daughter of a notorious gang leader. The kidnappers expect a straightforward operation and a valuable payout, yet the captive quickly unsettles their plans. As events unfold, members of the crew begin to disappear one by one, leaving the survivors locked in with a girl whose true nature becomes increasingly difficult to understand.
Set against the claustrophobic tension of a kidnapping gone wrong, Abigail blends horror and thriller elements through shifting power dynamics, mounting suspicion, and a threat hidden behind an apparently vulnerable face. The story keeps its focus on the uneasy relationship between captors and captive, allowing fear to build as the criminals realize that their confinement may have placed them in greater danger than the ransom ever promised to solve.
Overview
Directed by Tyler Gillett, this horror thriller is a production of Israel and the United States. Its premise combines a high-stakes kidnapping with a closed-location survival scenario, giving the narrative a tense, fast-moving framework. The contrast between ballet discipline, criminal calculation, and growing dread creates an atmosphere where every decision carries a rising sense of risk.
The film centers on a group whose confidence erodes as their carefully planned crime turns into a struggle for survival. The ransom provides the initial motive, while the mysterious behavior of the captive drives the deeper conflict. Viewers can expect a dark genre story built around secrecy, fear, and the discovery that appearances offer little protection.
