Филм The Killer (2024)

Story

In The Killer, Zee has earned the chilling nickname “the Queen of the Dead” through her work as a feared contract killer. Her latest assignment places a young blind woman in danger, yet Zee refuses to carry out the murder. That decision breaks the rules of the criminal world around her and turns a professional assassin into a target.

Criminal colleagues begin hunting Zee, while a determined police detective closes in from another direction. Caught between her former associates and the law, she must navigate a pursuit shaped by violence and suspicion. The story keeps its focus on Zee’s dangerous position and the tension of a crime thriller.

Overview

This American action crime thriller combines the pressure of a manhunt with the moral conflict of a killer who refuses one particular order. Its central tension grows from the collision between Zee’s reputation and her unexpected decision to protect a vulnerable stranger. The result is a focused tale of pursuit, with criminal power on one side and police determination on the other.

The film’s atmosphere is tense and direct, built around the consequences of a single refusal. Zee’s profession gives the story a hard-edged action foundation, while the criminal pursuit and the police investigation add danger from competing directions. Viewers who enjoy assassin stories and relentless chases will find the premise a familiar but engaging starting point.

Cast and Characters

Nathalie Emmanuel plays Zee, the contract killer at the center of the story. She is joined by Omar Sy, Eric Cantona, Tchéky Karyo, and Saïd Taghmaoui in an ensemble set in a world of contract killings, criminal alliances, and police investigation.

Zee stands between two opposing forces: the criminal colleagues who expect obedience and the detective determined to track her down. The young blind woman at the heart of the assignment is the person whose fate changes the direction of the conflict, while the pursuing characters keep the pressure on Zee from both sides.
