Movie Scream 7 (2026)

Story

In a quiet town where Sidney Prescott has built a new life, the return of Ghostface shatters a fragile sense of safety. The masked killer chooses Sidney’s daughter as the next target, drawing her family into a terrifying game shaped by secrets, suspicion, and carefully planned attacks. To protect the people closest to her, Sidney must confront the horrors that have followed her for years and find a way to stop the bloodshed before the killer reaches everyone she loves.

Scream 7 continues the franchise's signature blend of slasher horror and whodunit mystery. The tension unfolds through a community forced to question its own safety, while Sidney's personal history gives every threat an added weight. The story keeps its focus on the danger surrounding one family, preserving the suspense of a Ghostface investigation while building toward a confrontation with the past.

Overview

Directed by Kevin Williamson, this American horror film brings together the familiar Ghostface mythology and a new threat aimed at the next generation. Its setting offers a contrast between the calm of a small town and the violence that gradually reaches its homes and families. Alongside the horror elements, the film uses mystery, hidden motives, and the search for a killer to sustain its slasher-thriller tension.

The central conflict remains deeply personal. Sidney is forced to balance the instinct to protect her daughter with the knowledge that surviving Ghostface requires more than simply running from danger. The film's atmosphere moves between domestic unease, looming menace, and the escalating pressure of a mystery that refuses to stay buried.

Cast and Characters

Courteney Cox leads the cast as Sidney's story continues into a new chapter, with the character's experience and determination at the center of the conflict. Isabel May appears as the daughter whose safety brings Ghostface back into Sidney's life. Mason Gooding, Anna Camp, and Joel McHale round out the ensemble surrounding the family and the investigation.

The characters are connected by fear, loyalty, and uncertainty as the search for the killer unfolds. Their relationships give the mystery an intimate dimension, while the threat of Ghostface keeps every encounter charged with suspicion.
