Film Eddington (2025)

Story

In May 2020, a dispute between the sheriff and mayor of Eddington, New Mexico, places the town under intense pressure. What begins as a standoff between two local authorities soon reaches beyond official offices, drawing neighbors into opposing camps and turning familiar relationships into sources of suspicion. As tensions spread through the community, the boundaries between public duty, personal conviction, and political influence become increasingly difficult to maintain.

Set against a divided small-town landscape, Eddington combines crime and comedy while observing how quickly a local conflict can unsettle an entire community. The story keeps its focus on the people caught within the dispute, preserving an uneasy balance between confrontation, absurdity, and the consequences of collective mistrust.

Overview
