Animacija The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (2026)

Story

Mario and Luigi are drawn into a new interstellar adventure when Bowser Jr. launches a determined campaign to free his father from captivity and reclaim the family legacy. Their journey carries them across the stars, where familiar allies and new companions join the brothers in a race to stop the young heir before his plan can succeed.

Blending comedy, fantasy, and family-friendly adventure, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie expands the brothers' world beyond familiar kingdoms and into a much larger cosmic setting. The story keeps its focus on loyalty, family ties, and the pressure of living up to a powerful name, while the brothers face a threat driven by ambition and devotion.

Overview

This animated adventure brings together the colorful energy of the Super Mario universe with the scale of a journey among the stars. The Japanese-American production balances playful humor with a clear sense of peril, creating a setting where sibling teamwork matters as much as courage.

Directed by Aaron Horvath, the film combines comedy, fantasy, and family adventure in a story built around a new challenge for Mario and Luigi. Bowser Jr.'s mission gives the plot a personal center, while the brothers' expanding group of companions adds variety to their voyage and broadens the conflict beyond a familiar rivalry.

Cast and Characters

The story centers on brothers Mario and Luigi, whose latest mission places them in opposition to Bowser Jr. The young heir is determined to release Bowser and preserve his family's legacy, giving the adventure a strong family-driven conflict. Princess Peach remains part of the wider circle surrounding the brothers, while new and returning companions accompany them on their journey.

The cast features Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, and Donald Glover. Together with the film's returning characters and new additions, the ensemble supports a lively animated adventure shaped by contrasting loyalties, close partnerships, and the demands of family.
