Animation Hoppers (2026)
Story
In Hoppers, scientists develop a remarkable way to transfer human consciousness into lifelike robotic animals. The technology gives people an unusual chance to communicate with animals from within the animal world itself, opening a new path toward understanding their behavior, hidden lives, and unexplored mysteries.
Mabel, a devoted animal lover, seizes the opportunity to take part in the experiment. What begins as an extraordinary encounter with nature soon leads her beyond everything she expected to discover. Moving between human experience and animal perspective, Mabel must make sense of a world that has always existed alongside her while remaining largely unseen.
Overview
Directed by Daniel Chong, this American animated adventure blends science fiction, comedy, and family storytelling. Its central idea gives the film a playful technological premise while creating room for curiosity, discovery, and encounters with the animal kingdom. The contrast between human consciousness and robotic animal bodies provides the foundation for a story built around communication and a fresh view of the natural world.
The film's tone combines imaginative invention with an accessible sense of humor. Its animal-centered concept can appeal to viewers drawn to animated adventures, while the mysteries surrounding Mabel's experience add a layer of intrigue to the journey.
Cast and Characters
Piper Curda leads the voice cast as Mabel, the animal lover whose decision to use the new technology brings her into contact with the hidden side of the animal world. Bobby Moynihan, Jon Hamm, Kathy Najimy, and Dave Franco also lend their voices to the film, joining Curda in a cast that supports its comic, adventurous, and science-fiction elements.
Rather than relying on familiar human settings alone, the story places its characters in a world shaped by animal perspectives and robotic bodies. Their relationships with Mabel help develop the film's focus on communication, curiosity, and the mysteries that emerge when people learn to see nature from within.
