Movie A Line of Fire (2025)

Story

After a decade working as a secret FBI agent, Jack “Cash” Conry steps away from the force following the death of his wife. He devotes himself to raising his two daughters and builds a quieter life far removed from covert operations and professional danger. Even with the satisfaction of being present for his family, Cash still feels the pull of work that once gave him a strong sense of purpose.

His carefully rebuilt routine is disrupted when Jamie, the niece of his former partner, asks for help. Her call draws Cash back into a dangerous investigation shaped by corruption, hidden motives, and unanswered questions. As the former agent moves through a world he thought he had left behind, he must rely on the instincts and experience that made him effective while facing the personal cost of returning to the line of fire.

Overview

A Line of Fire is an American action thriller centered on divided loyalties, family responsibility, and the consequences of a second chance at a former life. The story combines the urgency of an FBI-linked conspiracy with a more personal conflict: Cash wants to protect the home he has built while confronting the part of himself that still seeks meaningful action.

The film’s tension grows from the contrast between domestic stability and a dangerous professional past. Its focus on corruption and intrigue gives the plot a serious, suspense-driven atmosphere, while Cash’s relationship with his daughters adds emotional stakes to every decision. The result is a character-led thriller where old connections reopen a world of risk and force a retired operative to question how far he is willing to go for someone in need.
