Vladimír Drha
Vladimír Drha (1944), film and television screenwriter and director, graduated in directing at FAMU. He started out as a documentary filmmaker. He made his debut with the award-winning feature film for children Today came a new boy (1981), which he followed up with the tragicomedies Do zubů a do srdíček (1985), Mezek (1985) and Muk obraznosti (1989). Later, he directed the films The Birth of My Younger Brother (2000) or English Strawberries (2008). He is also devoted to the genre of fairy tales – e.g. The Pearly Maiden (1997) – and TV series and original dramatic work.
