Irina P. Kartasheva (November 4, 1922 - May 14, 2017, Moscow) - Soviet and Russian actress, People’s Artist of the RSFSR (1985). Irina Kartasheva was born on November 4, 1922 in Petrograd. December 31, 1933 was arrested, then in 1937 her father, the chief economist of GIPROMEZ, Pavel Vasilyevich Kartashev, was shot. Irina, who had four years of study at the Leningrad Choreographic College, and her mother were sent from Leningrad to exile. There she graduated from high school. In 1940 she managed to return to Leningrad and enter the Leningrad Theater Institute, but on September 8, 1941, she traveled from Leningrad to Saransk with the last train in search of her mother hiding from re-expulsion. She worked in the hospital. From 1942 to 1947 - actress of the Mordovian State Music and Drama Theater. During the Great Patriotic War, as part of the concert brigade of the Mordovian State Music and Drama Theater, performed before the soldiers of the army in the field. Member of the Great Patriotic War. From 1947 to 2017 - for 70 years - she worked at the Moscow Theater named after the Moscow City Council. The urn with ashes was buried at the Vagankovo cemetery next to her husband.
