Vitaly Zlotnikov

Vitaly Markovich Zlotnikov (November 20, 1934, Voronezh - November 19, 2000, Dmitrov, Moscow Region) - Russian poet, novelist, screenwriter. Script writer of the cartoon "Kitten from Lizyukov Street". Born on November 20, 1934 in the family of engineer Mark Lvovich and housewife of the Rada Efimovna Zlotnikov. In Voronezh, Vitaly graduated from the school and the faculty of Romance-Germanic philology of the Voronezh State University. In 1968 he got married, in the same year the first book “Me and Jack” was published. The firstborn son soon appeared in the Zlotnikov family - in 1969, the son Sasha was born, this event inspired the head of the family to write new children's works. In 1970, Vitaly Markovich and his family decided to move to Dmitrov. I wanted to be closer to the editorial offices of the central periodicals, where his children's stories had already begun to be published, and to the Soyuzmultfilm film studio, with which he had already begun to collaborate as a screenwriter for animated films. He died in 2000 in the city of Dmitrov.
