Movie Fear (2023)

Story

In Fear, a group of friends gathers for a much-needed weekend getaway at a remote and historic hotel. What begins as a celebration soon turns into terror, as one by one each guest comes face to face with their own worst fear. Cut off in an isolated setting, the friends find that a break meant to bring relief becomes a test of their nerves.

The premise rests on a simple idea: the most frightening threat is different for every person. Because each guest confronts a deeply personal fear, the horror feels intimate, and the weekend moves steadily from relaxation toward dread.

Overview

Directed by Deon Taylor, Fear is a 2023 American horror film built around isolation, an ensemble of friends, and personal dread. The remote historic hotel provides a confined backdrop for a getaway that turns nightmarish.

Viewers can expect a dark, enclosed atmosphere and a story that keeps its attention on the guests and on how each of them faces what frightens them most. Because the guests are tested one by one, tension builds with every new encounter, and the contrast between the friends' original plans and the terror that follows drives the film.

Cast and Characters

The ensemble cast features Joseph Sikora, Andrew Bachelor, Iddo Goldberg, Chanel Gaines, and Annie Ilonze. They play members of the group brought together for the getaway, and each character's experience is tied to the film's central theme of personal fear.

The friends share a destination and a crisis, while their individual fears shape how the horror unfolds for each of them.
