Ταινία The Last Journey (2024)

Story

In this documentary, Swedish television duo Filip Hammar and Fredrik Wikingsson travel to France with a personal purpose. Their journey centers on Filip’s father, Lars, whose zest for life they hope to rekindle. The trip brings the warmth of a family undertaking into the open, placing companionship, memory and the bond between generations at the heart of the film.

Rather than treating travel as a simple change of scenery, the film follows the emotional reason behind the journey. France provides the setting for an attempt to create renewed energy within a close family circle. The result is a personal documentary shaped by affection and by the quiet hopes that accompany time spent with someone important.
