Sofia the First is an American animated television series that follows the adventures of Sofia who becomes a princess when her mother, Miranda, marries King Roland II of Enchancia. Sofia's new stepfather gives her a magical amulet, thanks to which she can speak to animals. Sofia is trying hard to fit into a new royal family. She makes friends with James, her friendly older step-brother. Amber, her spoiled older step-sister does not seem to like her because of Sofia's popularity and success. Cedric, a royal sorcerer attempts regularly to steal Sofia's amulet to become the king of Enchancia. The young princess will stop at nothing to prove that she can rule the fairy kingdom and be the best princess.
